When God Leads - Is.48:21

By Published August 18, 2021

As a sheep will always need a shepherd and a baby will always need assistance, no matter the age or experience, every one of us will always require divine guidance all through our journey in life.

Isaiah 48: 21

And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them, he clave the rock also and the waters gushed out.

When we carefully look into God's promises in His word in Isaiah 48:21 we see that  in a man's journey through life, he will encounter deserts, thirst and rocks in the form of hardships, confusion, lack, hunger, famine and all the troubles this earth realm comes with but the beautiful thing about being in God's care is that He will guide you through, make a way for you, bring out water from the rock and make the desert a fruitful land -Isaiah 32:15b And the wilderness be a fruitful field and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. This implies that if you are under God's guidance, nothing shall be impossible for you. No situation is too late for God to step into, nothing is too hard for God to do neither is there any mountain that is so high that you cannot surmount.

Take a look at the testimony below:

"I was returning from work one evening and was asked to pull over by a female police officer who requested for all my car's legal documents which I presented but was I was still harassed.

I got angry with the situation and wanted to file a complaint against the said officer. She has been known for such actions. Along the line, as I was making a video of the officer harassing me and others, the Holy Spirit whispered to me to stop and drop every charge against the woman.

I became even more upset with what the Holy Spirit was asking me to do, so I asked why He (the Holy Spirit) will make such a request, the Holy Spirit responded, "Because she has gone through a lot". If it's about going through a lot I tried to reason, I have been there but I am not rude and I don't harass people. In response, the Holy Spirit told me that I went through all that with Him by your side to guide and lead me but she was fighting it on her own as the Spirit of God was not her guide.

From the testimony above, we can understand that divine guidance and directions are only enjoyed by sons of God because according to Romans 8:14 . . . as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Divine direction is our redemptive right and can ONLY be enjoyed by Sons of God. Therefore, to succeed as believers, the Lord must remain our shepherd in order for us to make the most out of our journey on Earth.

Psalms 23:1-5 The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; he LEADS me besides the still waters. He restores my soul: He LEADS me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Psalm 23:4 says something even more strategic – “Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou are with me, thy rod and that staff they comfort me. This leaves us with the assurance that no matter how terrible a situation or experience may be, if God is our guide, we will come out unscratched and he will prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies, anoint our heads with oil and give us a running over cup; full of blessings.

The Wonders of Divine Guidance cannot be exhausted. Some of them include:

  • God's Presence is guaranteed.

Romans 8:31 what shall we then say to these things, if God be for us, who can be against us?

Your answer is as correct as mine, NOBODY. No sickness, disease, death or anything or anyone contrary can stand God's presence.

  • Supernatural Restoration is secured.

In 1 Samuel 30:8, 18-20 David came back from battle once to find his country raided. He cried and was in deep sorrow with all his men of war. In that state, he enquired of the Lord on what to do, God asked him to pursue which he did and recovered all. You cannot be stranded in life when God leads you.

  • We enjoy Supernatural Supplies

Isaiah 48:21, Luke 22:35.

Testimonies are proofs of Gods faithfulness. Take a look at this other testimony.

I remember when I was in need of something and tried everything possible to get it and all my efforts became futile. Then one afternoon as I laid on my bed, the Holy Spirit asked me to get up, get dressed and follow him. I obeyed and he took me to a particular location, he asked me to meet someone there, I did, greeted the person and we talked for a while, a couple of minutes later, I got more than what I needed

  • We secure a Stress-free Life.

Stress is one of the major causes of so many sicknesses in our world today. Physical stress for work, mental stress from the media, bills to be paid, worries and anxiety which could result in High blood pressure, Insomnia, Obesity, Hallucination among others. Trusting and depending on Jesus guarantees a stress-free life.

Psalms 25:9, 12-13 the meek will he guide in judgement and the meek will he teach his way. What man is he that feareth the Lord? Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. His soul shall dwell at ease and his seed shall inherit the earth.

Proverbs 3:16-17 Length of days is in her right hand and in her left-hand riches and honour her ways are the ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace.

The blessedness of being led by God is quite enormous. It could be seen in many ways like not being stranded in life at any point in time, God is committed to keeping His word. Rest from knowing that He will not fail you. In a world full of uncertainties, there is nothing as sweet as knowing you are not and cannot be lost, you cannot be stranded, and you will not make any wrong decision as long as God is your guide. All these and more are the wonders of divine directions. The question now is: WILL YOU LET HIM LEAD YOU?
